Travel and Subsistence Grants

WIC2009 Grants

Financial support is available from some private and public institutions for a limited number of speakers, students and other participants with financial difficulties. This may cover their expenses in full (e.g. travel and accommodation), or partly (e.g., travel or accommodation).

As the funds for travel grants are limited, priority will be given to enabling people from non-Western countries to take part in this conference.

Waiving the conference fee is in principle not possible (exceptions may apply at the discretion of the organisers) as these form the core budget for the conference.

If you would like to be considered for such support, please send a brief curriculum vitae and an application letter to WIC2009@ironsmelting.net.

Help with External Grants

We can supply official letters declaring your participation in WIC2009 to support application for funding at your own institution or external funding bodies if so desired. Please contact WIC2009@ironsmelting.net to request such a letter. With this request we will need your exact contact details as well as the title and the title of your submitted abstract.
