Electronic / Internet Banking Charges
Please note that any Electronic / Internet Banking payment will be subject to charges, and that you will have to pay these in addition to the conference fee.- If you pay your conference fee using electronic/internet banking from a UK bank, please add £1 to the conference fee for the charges WIC2009 will occur.
- If you pay your conference fee using electronic/internet banking from a non-UK bank, both your and our bank will levy charges for the payment (e.g. transaction fee, usually ca 5%, currency conversion charges, usually ca £5, senders fee, payment acceptance charges). Please make sure to add the approximate total of these fees to your payment:
- i.e. a total of £209 for the full rate (£158 for the reduced full rate),
- i.e. a total of £156 for the student rate (£106 for the reduced student rate)

Payment using Debit or Credit Card through PayPal
For people who do not have (easy) access to electronic / internet banking there is an option to pay the conference fee using PayPal. In order to use this functionality you will need to have (or open) a PayPal account of your own.In order to pay the WIC conference fee, please log on to your PayPal account, and send payment to the following account: WIC2009_Paypal@ironsmelting.net (Paypal uses email addresses as account numbers).
Please note:
- The account only accepts payments in GBP (British Pounds; Sterling)!
- so please select that currency rather than your own if applicable.
- PayPal may charge you for failed payments in another currency!
- Payment will show up on your statements as 'WIC2009fee'
PayPal Charges
- PayPal charges a percentage of the transaction for accepting payments, so please add this charge to your conference fee:
- i.e. a total of £208 for the full rate (£157 for the reduced full rate)
- i.e. a total of £156 for the student rate (£105 for the reduced student rate)
